
Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele, has mentioned that it is impossible to attain fame and success without doing the dirty work amid allegations raised by controversial Nollywood actor and content creator, Ijoba Lande who is better known as Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu.
It would be recalled that a couple of days ago, Ijoba Lande shared a video on his social media platform where he mentioned that he was only paid the sum of N90,000 to feature in movie produced by the leading actress, Funke Akindele.
Ijoba Lande has since come out to state that he was paid the sum of N190,000, and it was an error. In the apology video, the controversial thespian and skit maker postrated to the renowned movie actress to express his genuinty.

Speaking during a recent appearance on Chude Jideonwo’s ‘WithChude’ podcast, Akindele explained that doing the dirty work is one of the requirements of achieving success in one’s career.
In addition, the actress identified hard work and dedication to duty and responsibilities as key to success.

Revealing the secrets to her most talked-about successes, Akindele said, “Let me say that a lot of people want to do what I am doing, but I keep telling them: for you to be successful, you need to work hard and do the dirty work.”

The leading Nigerian movie actress maintained that she refused to dwell on or allow present successes in the industry to affect her work, but remained focused and undistracted.

In the 2023 gubernatorial election, she served as the running mate of People’s Democratic Party candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran who is popularly known as Jandor.
Akindele is one of the most reverred thespians and moviemakers in the Nigerian entertainment industry. She has been in the industry almost three decades.
