Joy Tongo, former manager of Nigerian dancehall artiste, Cynthia Morgan, has warned the singer to stop blaming her career misfortune on Jude “Engees” Okoye of the defunct P-Square group.
This is coming after the dance-hall artiste, who now goes by the stage name Madrina, granted an interview where she blamed Jude Okoye for her career woes. (Read HERE).
Morgan (now Madrina) was formerly signed to Jude Okoye’s Northside Entertainment in the heydays of Psquare.
She was a staunch member of the Psquare family that when Peter and Paul disbanded for the first time, she uploaded a video on Instagram, pleading with them to mend fences.
After Psquare finally separated in 2017, Madrina went quiet, musically.
Madrina‘s new revelation has now made her the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter as users trended the hashtag #BringBackCynthiaMorgan in a bid to revive her career.
Peter Okoye, of the defunct P-Square group now known as Mr P, who had a falling out with his brother Jude, also weighed in on the matter and threw his weight behind Madrina.
Joy Tongo’s statement
Shortly after Mr P‘s comment, Madrina‘s former manager, Joy Tongo took to Twitter to accuse her of seeking sympathy with her story. She claimed the singer is owing both her and Jude Okoye $30,000 and 40 Million respectively.
Tongo further given the singer an ultimatum to telling the true story as it is or face their wrath should she lie.
She tweeted: “I am in a much better place , so this time, don’t dare me . I am ready for you. Very very ready.
“People will do anything for clout! SMH !
“Cynthia Morgan this is 2020, we haven’t forgotten all your dirt ! Internet does not lie , emails does not lie and much more . I am coming for you ! All the dirt you did to I and Jude and others you must pay this time around . It’s over 4 years and you are still talking trash!”
She added: “Cynthia Morgan you are adviced to let people know the truth, else we would tell them the truth . PS your former management.”
Tongo went ahead to spill more on Instagram with the caption: “Record Label /Management are not a charity organization . As Cynthia Morgan’s formal manager from 2011-2016 who have never spoken out , I can boldly say No one killed your career. Your Pride and your nasty attitude was your downfall . You used your own hands and mouth to kill your once bubbling career. Since you can’t own up to your downfall of your music career and you are now trying to get people to have sympathy for you after 4 years , let me remind you shortly .”

Joy Tong also took to Twitter to share a message she got from someone speaking ill of the singer.
However, Madrina is yet to comment on Joy Tongo‘s accusations.
