Nigerian singer, Yinka Davies, has revealed the cause of her son’s death.
In a chat with Punch, Davies disclosed that Jeremiah was her first child and prior to her son’s death, he had been in and out of the hospital for ten months after battling with an autoimmune blood tissue disorder.
She then disclosed that Jeremiah, who would have turned 28 on 21st of this month, died at age 27. Davies said, “I lost my firstborn, my son. I have two boys but I lost my firstborn. He was 27 when he died, he would have been 28 years old on the 21st of February,” she said.
“With an emotion-laden voice, she revealed the cause of her son’s death, saying he was in and out of the hospital for ten days. Autoimmune blood tissue disorder; I think that is the layman term for the cause of his death.”
“He had been battling the illness for about 10 months. He was in and out of the hospital for about 10 months. He died on Friday.”
She continued “For the family, it is still too much to process his death. We are all grieving in our own way because he is everybody’s child. My sisters took care of him. During his last days, he refused to be admitted because he gets bored easily. He was a very active child and keeping him in one place would have been so tiresome. Let us just thank God for his life.”
Davies had earlier on Tuesday broke the news of her son’s demise via her social media pages.
