Yemi Alade, the self-acclaimed ‘Mama Africa’ is ready to drop her fourth studio album, Woman of Steel.
Yemi has been adding the hashtag – #WOS – to multiple posts on her social media page with no explanation as to what it meant for a while now. She has finally disclosed the meaning behind her ambiguous hashtag, telling fans to expect her new album – Woman of Steel – soon.
Despite teasing the forthcoming album in a few posts and captions, the singer hasn’t given too much away, still keeping her fans expectant.
“#WOMANOFSTEEL – still I rise. My album is coming very soon,” she captioned a recent post.
The project is reportedly set to drop this month, and will feature acts like; Angélique Kidjo, Duncan Mighty, Funke Akindele and a couple others.
2019 has been quite good for Yemi Alade, kicking off the year by making history, as her 2014 hit single, ‘Johnny’, amassed over a 100 million views on YouTube – making her the first African female artist and the second African artist ever to achieve that feat. She is also celebrating her ‘Oh My Gosh’ Remix, which features Rick Ross, which has now gained 2 million views in just two weeks of release.
