Popular singer, Yemi Alade has denied a viral report that she was in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) for questioning.
Sahara Reporters had reported that Alade alongside other music stars in the country, including Don Jazzy and Tiwa Savage were being interrogated by the DSS and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for criticising the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
Reacting to the viral report, Alade said she wasn’t interrogated or harassed over any comment made against the government, as the report claimed.
“At no point have I been interrogated, harassed, or threatened by the Police or DSS over comments on the existing Government. Can We Please stop sharing propaganda!! Sigh!” she wrote on her Twitter page.
Similarly, the NPF and DSS have debunked reports of inviting any musician for questioning.
