Nigerian music- star, Wizkid, is set to release the much-anticipated visuals for Essence featuring vocalist, Tems.
The singers offered fans a video snippet of them on location on their Instagram stories.
Essence is the eleventh song on WizKid’s fourth studio album Made In Lagos which was released on October 30. It made it to the top list of former U.S president, Barrack Obama‘s favourite songs of 2020. The album features music heavy weights including Burna Boy, Skepta, Damian Marley, H.E.R., Ella Mai and Terr.
Made in Lagos surpassed 100 million streams across five platforms nine days after its release, a huge milestone for an Afro-pop artiste.
It was listed among The Guardian UK’s Top 50 Best Albums of 2020 and made British Vogue’s 12 Best Albums Of 2020.
In Janaury, Wizkid spoke about the success of Made in Lagos with Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music.
He said: “It feels so great, man. Especially when you spend time making the music and spend a lot of time on the art. It’s just amazing to see that people appreciate the music around the world. Not just Africans because that’s why I make music.
“I’m just trying to connect to the world and just spread good vibes to the world. So, yeah. It’s just very, very… It’s a blessing to me to be here, play my own role and do my own thing. But I’m very thankful. I’m very thankful that people love the album. Every day I wake up it’s like… I see something nice that makes me go, ‘Oh yeah, we did it. We did a great job, man'”.
