Nigerian artistes continue to make waves within and across the African borders with hit songs and international features.
Some of these features include Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Tekno’s feature on Beyonce’s “The Gift” Album and Chris Brown’s feature on Davido’s Blow my mind.
Following the singer’s feature on Kojo funds’ “Like”, Wizkid has topped the Spotify monthly listeners list with a record of 8 million monthly listeners on the platform.
This is coming just a few days after his 6.9 million monthly listeners record.
The “Caro” Crooner beats Congolese rapper and singer, Maitre Gims, who had seven million monthly listeners before Wizzy came on board.
By achieving this feat, Wizkid becomes the first African in this category. This achievement comes after a considerable number of hits on the platform including a recent feature with Tiwa Savage on DJ Spinall’s “Dis love”.
