Wizkid Drops Long-Awaited Album ‘Made In Lagos’

Wizkid Made in Lagos streams album release

After delaying his album because of the #EndSARS protests, Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has finally dropped his long-awaited album Made In Lagos, which is one of the biggest releases this year.

The 14-track LP features contributions from Nigeria’s own Burna Boy, Terri, Tems, and Tay Iwar; as well as his friends from across the globe like Skepta, Damian Marley, and Ella Mai.

Made in Lagos was originally scheduled for release on October 15. However, Wizkid delayed the project to show respect for activists protesting police brutality and bad governance all over the country.

Wizkid, like Falz, Burna Boy, and other Nigerian artistes, has been very vocal about the #EndSARS movement. He even scandalously dragged fellow musician Reekado Banks for promoting their collaborative track during the protests.

It has been three years since Wizkid released his last album Sounds from the Other Side. So when the Starboy finally announced that his fourth album was dropping at 11:11 tonight, the album immediately shot up to number 7 on the Apple Music charts.
