Why Spider-Man Producer Warned Zendaya and Tom Holland against Dating

The producer of Spider man: No Way Home, Amy Pascal has revealed that she advised Tom and Zendaya against any future dating shortly after they were cast.

According to her, she took Holland and Zendaya aside separately when we first cast them and gave them a lecture. Then told them, “Don’t go there—just don’t. Try not to.”

She added that added that they weren’t the first leading actors she’d tried to lecture against dating.

The Spider-Man stars are actually the third and latest pair to translate their on-screen chemistry into a real-life romance. Pascal stated,

“I gave the same advice to Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone It can just complicate things, you know?”(sic)

Despite her advice, she revealed that the stars all ignored her. All three actors who have taken up the title of Spider-Man fall in love with their on-screen love interests.

The first time the leading actors’ romance on screen translated to an off-screen romance was when actors Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst started dating, while shooting the very first spider man film.

However, their relationship didn’t last long. The duo eventually broke up before the second movie.

In 2017, Kirsten got engaged and later had two children with her Fargo and The Power of the Dog co-star Jesse Plemons. Tobey married and had two children with jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, whom he separated from in 2016.
