Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel, has given his two-cents on why relationships and marriages do not last.
The 40-year-old actor stated that many marriages fail because couples think of sex on their first date instead of building friendship in a relationship.
“Interviewer: So Majid why do you think relationships and even marriages don’t last? Majid: well, if you are going out on a first date and all you are thinking about is sex, therein lies the problem,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Cos it’s all about sex. People don’t know how to have a relationship outside of just a sexual relationship.
“They don’t know how to talk to a person, they don’t know how to be friends; and this is the reason a lot of relationships and marriages are breaking down.”
Michel started acting professional acting by after starring in the television series Things We Do for Love, acquiring his nickname “Shaker” on the set.

On the strength of his performance in the series, he was cast in his first movie, Divine Love, as the male lead; alongside Jackie Aygemang as the female lead, with Van Vicker in a supporting role.
He made his Nigerian Nollywood debut in the 2009 romantic drama, Emerald, playing a leading role alongside Genevieve Nnaji. However, the 2009 film Silent Scandals brought Majid into prominence in Nigeria.
Majid Michel is married to Virna and they have three kids together.
