NOLLYWOOD actress, Chinenye Uyanna has revealed that there are a lot of actresses who are yet-to-get-married because of the way men see them.
While admitting that actresses find it difficult to get married, Uyanna blamed the problem on men’s judgment on female role interpreters.
In an interview with Punch, the Anambra-born damsel lamented how men often judge actresses based on the roles they play, which she said is responsible for the relationship status of some of her colleagues in the industry.
Her words; “Actresses don’t find it difficult to get married; it is people that find it difficult to settle down with actresses. Men believe we are the roles we play. They say they cannot be with a woman that is everywhere, forgetting that it is our profession.
“They think actresses are not wife materials. They judge actresses based on their careers and ignore their characters. When I hear such things, I just shake my head. I wish people would get to meet some of my colleagues and see how wonderful they really are. People need to change that mindset because it is shallow if you ask me.”
