Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has ignited a heated debate on social media with her recent revelation about her unconventional family plans.
In an exclusive interview with TVC News, Toriola disclosed that she has no intention of remarrying, instead choosing to focus on expanding her family with her ex-husband, with whom she shares a son.
The actress’s decision has sparked widespread conversations across Nigerian social media platforms, with many praising her boldness and others questioning her choice.

Toriola explained that despite their separation, she and her ex-husband have maintained a healthy co-parenting relationship, which has allowed them to prioritize their child’s upbringing.
According to Toriola, their open and respectful communication has been key to their successful co-parenting arrangement. She emphasized that her ex-husband remains a significant part of her life, not due to romantic attachment, but because of their shared goals for their child’s future. This arrangement, she noted, has given her the confidence to plan for more children with him.
She said, “I’m not interested in getting married now, but I want to have more babies with my ex-husband.
”My ex-husband told me that I may not be a good wife to him if we come back together but he later told me that I’m a good mother to our children.
