Actress and former BBNaija contestant Bisola Aiyeola shares her reasons for pausing her music career to focus on Nollywood.
The multi-talented actress originally had plans to straddle both the Nigerian film and music industries, but explained that because of reasons beyond her control, she has chosen to focus on the former.
In a new episode of Inkblot Meet & Greet podcast with co-founders Naz Onuzo, Zulumoke Oyibo and Damola Ademola, Aiyeola spoke about her music and acting career. And by the looks of it, fans might have to wait for a while for new music content.
The Sugar Rush star revealed that due to the high cost of music promotion, she decided to put a pause to music production and focus on improving her filmmaking skill.
“For the music, it has really been expensive even though I have a record label. Music is way more expensive than being in Nollywood,” Aiyeola, who is also a film producer, said. “I was going through my accounts some years back, maybe two years ago with my team. And I was like I am not singing again in my life. They laughed and said when you finally hit, you won’t remember this.”
So far, Bisola Aiyeola has become a household name; starring in movies and series like Sugar Rush, Chief Daddy, This Lady Called Life, Introducing the Kujus, Skinny Girl in Transit, and so many more.
