Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadua, has revealed that she can’t quit filmmaking for marriage.
She made this known after a fan asked her on Twitter if she was ready to give up filmmaking for marriage.
In response, the 27-year-old Hausa actress wondered why it is acceptable for women to make strides in other fields and not in filmmaking.
“Why quit filmmaking for marriage? Is filmmaking not an occupation? Why is it okay to have women in different areas of organization but not in filmmaking ? Media for example,” she said.
Sadau, also disclosed that she remains unshaken over people’s opinion and criticism of her actions.
“Entirely!!!!! But I’m not bothered. it’s an open space where everybody thinks he’s opinion matters when it does not!!! #AskRahama,” she wrote while responding to another fan.
The actress was in November 2020 suspended by the Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN), over “indecent dressing.” This makes it the second time that she would be suspended by the body.
