Music icon and powerhouse singer, Whitney Houston who died in 2012 as a result of coronary artery disease and cocaine intoxication is topping charts with a new song titled “Higher Love”. The song only recently released has hit the Number 1 spot on iTunes.
“Higher Love” was released by Kygo. The track is actually a remixed version of Houston’s cover of the 1986 Steve Winwood song, which was previously released as a Japan-only bonus track on her 1990 album, “I’m Baby Tonight”.
Only last month, the late singer’s estate announced their intention to launch multiple new projects. Kygo describes the opportunity to rework and release the song, which he called an uplifting and inspiring record, as amazing.
