Sony just released a new trailer for Morbius, Marvel’s living vampire anti-hero, brought to life by Jared Leto.
Leto plays Dr Michael Morbius, an award winning scientist born with a blood disease. In an attempt to find a cure for his ailment, he ends up turning himself into a so-called “Living Vampire”.
The movie was originally scheduled for release back in 2020, but the pandemic meant it got pushed back.
In addition to Leto, Morbius also stars Tyrese Gibson, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, and Michael Keaton. With Keaton reprising his role as Vulture from the 2017 MCU film Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Here’s the official synopsis from Sony,
“One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.”
There are lot of connections to other Sony/Marvel Universe movies in the trailer. From Morbius jokingly referring to himself as Venom, to a shot of the Daily Bugle.
