Looks like “Wakanda” is really forever as the release of Black Panther 2 is now official.
Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige on Saturday at Disney’s D23 Expo (D23 Expo is Disney’s annual convention for news and announcements) in California announced that a sequel to Black Panther would be a part of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Black Panther 2 is set to hit theaters worldwide on the 6th of May, 2022. Chadwick Boseman returns in the title role, with Ryan Coogler also returning as Writer and Director.
The first Black Panther film was a massive hit, and the biggest solo superhero movie for Marvel in history. Considering the huge commercial success of the first film, the sequel is anticipated to be a banger.
The first film also featured Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Forest Whitaker and Sterling K. Brown. It’s still unclear who will return for the new film.
