When Vivica Fox and Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent ended their relationship back in 2003, few would’ve thought we’ll be here in 2021.

However, that’s exactly where we are.

In an interview with VladTV, Fox spoke about her relationship with the hip hop mogul and what eventually led to their split.

“He’s such a gentleman, he’s very generous. I know him as Curtis, always will,” She said. “What killed the relationship is that we just went way too public way too fast. The love that I had for him and still to this day. He was the love of my life, I will admit that without any reservations. He will always have a very special place in my heart.” Fox also added.

At one point, she said, the rapper was even going to propose to her with a 12-carat ring. “He got mad at me and turned it into a pair of earrings,” she laughed. “The relationship broke up after the World Music Awards. I came back and he was on the radio saying he dumped me”. When a friend of hers called her to relay that 50 Cent said they broke up, Fox replied, “We did? Huh. So he never personally said, ‘it’s a wrap.’ … We really loved each other a lot at the time”.

In an interview with Charleston-based radio host Kris Kaylin, 50 Cent was asked about the comments from Vivica Fox.

“I’m never bothered by when she says that,” he said. “At the time that we actually interacted with each other, we weren’t conscious of everything else that was going on“.

50 also echoed Fox’s sentiments about the problems their relationship faced. He said that there were just too many people involved in the relationship, suggesting the couple could have lasted if they had kept private.

“It got so uncomfortable with everybody else,” he said. “When you gettin’ pushed and pulled in different directions, without it even being her decision. Her publicist would say, ‘do this,’ this person [would say] ‘do this.’ And then you go, ‘All right, this is not the right thing.”
