Hello Timi Dakolo fans, there’s good news for you today. R&B singer Timi Dakolo has signed a record deal with Virgin EMI Records.
The excited singer could not hold back his joy as he was quick to share the news with his fans. According to him, the chairman called him personally to officially welcome him into the label.
He said Hello Timi, My name is Ted Cockle and I am the Chairman of Virgin EMI Records. I just want to personally welcome you home. This is worth celebrating for the Dakolo family, after going through a heavy storm early this year.
Timi has officially received his worldwide passport from the International UK based record, a subsidiary of Universal music Group.
Timi Dakolo who released his album “Beautiful Noise” in 2011 has not released another album since then. But, he has been able to stay relevant dishing out singles to the delight of his fans. Singles like “Iyawo Mi” 2014, “Wish me well” 2015, “The vow” 2016, “Medicine” 2017 and “I Never Know say” in 2018.
Recall that Dakolo won the West African Idol singing competition in 2007. With this new deal with Virgin EMI, who signed songstress Tiwa Savage in May, we congratulate the whole clan of Timi’s music.
