The board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has banned Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale indefinitely and stripped both artists of all the awards they won on the night of the ceremony. The board also annulled the Most Popular Song of the Year and the Artist of the Year categories for the year.
The ban prevents them from participating in the nominations, selections, and performances in the VGMAs scheme.
The decision follows the brawl between team members of both artists on stage at the 2019 edition of the awards show, resulting in Stonebwoy pulling a gun.
