Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, a Nigerian activist and social media influencer, has made a significant contribution to the fight against human trafficking.
He donated N20 million to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to support their efforts in combating this heinous crime.
In the video he posted on his Instagram page, he wrote:
“On behalf of the RATEL MOVEMENT I donated the sum of 20million naira to NAPTIP through the (MVOI) to help bring back the trafficked children from Ivory Coast back to Nigeria and other victims of trafficking and to also help in their rehabilitation furthermore we urge the immigration to play their parts in protecting our children especially our girl child by securing the borders their work should not be stop at printing international passports and seizing bags of rice at the borders in the name of contraband, help us help our children”
The donation was prompted by a disturbing video he shared on social media, which was reported by eelive, showcasing underage girls trafficked to Ivory Coast and forced into exploitative activities. Verydarkman visited NAPTIP’s headquarters, where he pledged to support the agency’s mission to eradicate human trafficking.

The donated funds will be used to bring back the underage children featured in the video and other victims of human trafficking, provide rehabilitation and support services to help these children recover from their traumatic experiences, and enhance NAPTIP’s capabilities to effectively combat human trafficking.
Verydarkman also urged the federal government to work with immigration officials to prevent children from being unlawfully taken out of Nigeria, develop solutions to address the root causes of human trafficking, including poverty, lack of education, and economic opportunities, and provide adequate resources and support to NAPTIP to enable them to effectively execute their mandate.
The activist highlighted that children are being trafficked interstate for baby factories, and their organs are being harvested. He also called on the government to find a solution to the children seen begging on the streets.
