In the aftermath of the collapse of a three-storey building on Lagos Island, Nigerian musician, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun better known as Vector, has penned down an open letter to the newly elected governor of Lagos state, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

In his letter, Vector reminded Sanwo-Olu about what is expected of him as the new governor of Lagos state.
He wrote about how Lagosians live in absolute ignorance which he claimed was inherited. He noted that such ignorance if not properly handled will be traced back to the governor-elect.
He thereby urged his fans and followers to tag the governor continuously till he sees his post.

Read his post below:

“@jidesanwoolu You have won your bid to govern the people of Lagos.
you have reached a level of power to make things happen.
just so you know, alot of people carry a notion that you are stringed to a ventriloquist BUT! You have a beautiful chance to be human beyond your individual self…. you have the opportunity to be a rock star that’s bigger than any musician to Lagos.
Lagos Island is all i remember as far back as origin for me.
my people, your people are living in absolute ignorance that we inherited and carried over in this “university of lagos”. the lack of action from the appropriate offices will be traced back to YOU.
this needs to be attended to.
we can’t sit and condone blood shed especially when we know buildings like this are real on Lagos Island.
the local government chairman under your jurisdiction of power is answerable to the people.
there is alot do that you have met on ground (by the way THIS IS HOW IT FEELS WHEN PEOPLE RENT HOMES IN LAGOS AND THEY ALREADY OWE BILLS BEFORE THEY MOVE IN). if we must we will remind you at every opportunity that your office is also LAGOS STATE.
EVERYONE tag him continuously.”
