Following the news of the tragic deaths of retired NBA star Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna; many have been waiting for his wife, Vanessa Bryant to say something, anything. Vanessa finally broke her silence on Wednesday night in an Instagram post.
The 37-year-old widow said there “aren’t enough words to describe” the turmoil felt following the sudden loss of her “adoring husband Kobe” and their daughter Gianna.
Her tribute to them opens up about the “pain” and “devastation” she and her daughters feel since their death.
Also thanking the millions of people who have shown their support for her and her family during these sad times, Vanessa Bryant wrote:
“We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter; and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri,” she wrote in the emotional post.
The post garnered over three million likes in an hour. Several celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres, Chelsea Handler, Draya Michele, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, among others share their condolences.
Vanessa has also changed the image of her official Instagram account to a photo of her late husband and daughter.
In the picture, GiGi, who was an athletic prodigy and a talented basketball player hugs her dad while he grins back at her.
