Tyler Perry Demands Second Autopsy For Dead Nephew

Tyler Perry, has demanded that a second autopsy be carried out on his Nephew, Gavin Porter who allegedly killed himself in prison.

unconvinced about Porter‘s death, the movie mogul, 50, has enlisted Dr. Michael Baden, a famous pathologist who has been involved in a number of high profile cases; including Jeffrey Epstein, to conduct the autopsy.

Porter, 26, was serving a 20-year-sentence for shooting his father dead in front of his mother, who is Tyler Perry‘s sister.

On Tuesday night, February 25, Porter was found hanging in his cell from a bedsheet. But Perry suspects foul play because Gavin got into a fight with another inmate last weekend. As a result was placed in solitary confinement.

In addition, Perry wants the medical examiner he hired to determine if Gavin committed suicide or if he was killed in his cell.

Tlyer Perry’s interview with TMZ

The movie mogul told TMZ in an interview:

“Call me naive. But it was my hope that after serving his time, and really reflecting and showing much remorse and asking God for forgiveness, that he would have been able to come to work for me, joining all the other former inmates who work for me and turn his life around just as they have. But that day will never come.”

Perry added: “I want to be clear that we are not a family of conspiracy theorists. And want to believe that there was no foul play just as the sheriff said publicly.”

However, reacting to Perry‘s quest for a second autopsy, a rep from the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office told the publication:

“There is an active investigation at the prison’s request. We are currently awaiting the results of an autopsy. The initial investigation did not suspect foul play. We are also conducting an investigation into the fight which occurred earlier and Porter’s involvement in that incident.”

Similarly the rep said, “We respect the family’s right to request another autopsy to be done. This is not an unusual request. We are continuing our investigation and awaiting autopsy results.”
