Toyin Abraham’s forthcoming film, Ige (The Unlikely Oil Merchant) is set to premiere at IMAX Cinemas, Lekki, on April 3.
Produced by Abraham and directed by Biodun Stephen, the movie stars Toyin Abraham, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Bimbo Ademoye, Adetola Adedimeji Lateef, Bolaji Ogunmola, Teddy A, Oyebade Adebimpe, Jaiye Kuti and many others.
The film is an adaptation of Nigerian oil magnate Bashir Fakorede‘s biography which was written by his wife, Tayo Fakorede to celebrate his 50th birthday. It details the grass to grace story of the oil magnate and how he rose to the peak of his career despite resistance.
Mrs. Fakorode while speaking at the private screening of the film in Lagos, said that the movie was borne out of the need to encourage youths to work hard and remind them that nothing good comes easy.
“The movie is to encourage the youths and teach them that hard works and determination pays and that most successful people don’t just wake up in a day and become rich, there is always a story behind those successes”, she said.
