Following the success of her popular comic movie ‘Alakada’, Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has announced the fourth installment. She revealed that the sequel tagged “Fate of Alakada: The Party Planner,” will be in the cinemas in April 2020.
She took to her Instagram page to share the good news with her fans. Together, the actress posted a cover art starring comedian Broda shaggi with the caption:
“I’m coming soon 10th of April 2020.”
Alakada follows the story of Yetunde, a young girl from a poor family. Who engages in the act of making up stories and lying about her financial and social status in order to fit in with the crowd.
The first three installments were released in 2009, 2013 and 2017 respectively. It featured stars like like Toyin Abraham, Odunlade Adekola, Ali Baba, Iyabo Ojo, Arole, Lala Akindoju, Mr Latin, Annie Idibia and Helen Paul amongst others.
Toyin Abraham recently launched The Toyin’s Herbal Female Fertility Booster aimed at helping women who battle infertility. However we have no doubt that her upcoming movie will have a ground-breaking cinema debut just like the last time.
Toyin began acting in 2003, when actress Bukky Wright visited Ibadan to shoot a movie. Over the years, she has produced, directed and featured in several Nigerian films.
