Popular music star, Ayodeji Balogun better known as Wizkid is the latest celebrity to be sued for copy right infringement. Veteran singers, Tony Tetuila and Tic Tac are jointly suing constant collaborators, Wizkid and DJ Tunez for their hit single “Gbese”.
The suit accuses Wizkid of using content from Tony Tetuila’s “Fefe Na Efe” featuring Tic Tac for his verse on producer, DJ Tunez’ hit single”GBESE.”
In the recently-filed suit, Tetuila and Tic Tac are demanding over N30 million (30,000,000) from the Starboy Entertainment CEO(Wizkid).
The pair are also seeking 35% of both digital sales and royalties DJ Tunez and Wizkid received from the song.
According to reports, the pair disclosed that Wizkid and DJ Tunez did not give them credit after sampling their song “Fefe Ne Efe” in the hit single “GBESE.”
They also added that Wizkid did not pay them for sampling verses from the song.

Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye better known as Tony Tetuila was formerly a member of The Remedies along with Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana. He split from the group and became a solo artiste. However, he released the song “Fefe Na Efe” featuring Ghanaian singer Tic Tac in 2004.
