Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh is well-known for her philanthropy, launching an NGO, her self-named foundation, not long ago. Now Dikeh has taken it a step further by paying the medical bills of an ailing baby.
Dikeh, who founded The Tonto Dikeh Foundation, and King Andre Dikeh Foundation, after her son, on Monday, March 16, went to Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, in conjunction with Aisha Foundation, to visit ailing baby Solomon a 7-month old baby.
The baby, whom although doctors have not been able to diagnose the actual nature of his ailment; appears like extreme measles that covered his face, down to his feet.
The Ikwerre-born actress noted that her foundation got wind of Solomon’s condition through social media, and decided to step in, to give their support.
According to her, “This is baby Solomon, he is seven months old. He was not born like this. My team and I decided to help out because Solomon’s case typifies what the King Andre Dikeh Foundation set out to achieve.
“We have taken up his medical bills. Also will be supporting the medical team in our way with investigating the nature of baby Solomon’s disease; as doctors have not identified the nature of his condition yet. His mom and dad are alive and standing by their baby through this trying time.
Speaking further, she said, “[Our foundations] will be supporting more than five patients by taking care of their hospital expenses, to enable them get appropriate treatments.
“There are over 20 cases worse or same pain level disease cases in newborns in the hospital,” she concluded.
