Toke Makinwa, a Nigerian radio personality and author is now the host of a new Big Brother Naija show.
The 36-year-old vlogger is going to be hosting the first ever Big Brother Naija highlight show. The show is exclusive to Showmax.
Toke Makinwa made the announcement on her verified Instagram page on Monday. She also added that the show titled The Buzz would officially kick off on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
The Buzz will air on Showmax exclusively on Tuesdays and Fridays.
She wrote,
“Supa dupa excited to be the very first host of the first official highlight show for Big Brother Nigeria. The buzz is unfiltered hot topics from BBN where never seen before clips, highlights, gossip and so much more is discussed. Show is exclusive to @showmaxnaija. So my Nigerians in diaspora, BBN fanatics and lovers of everything big brother are in for a real treat on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Download Show max and see you all tomorrow.”

The BBNaija organizers decided to introduce this new feature for this year’s Shine Ya Eye season. Before now, the reality show was only available to viewers in Africa. However, with this new highlight show featuring Toke Makinwa on Showmax, viewers in the United Kingdom can now catch up with all the gist and fun happening in the Big Brother Naija house.
Speaking on what to expect on the show, Toke Makinwa who also hosts The Late Morning Show on Rhythm 93.7 fm said,
“I am unfiltered. This is almost like the unfiltered version of Big Brother where we bring you weekly highlights so I’m looking forward to them messing up, I’m looking forward to them creating more drama because that way my show gets even more interesting.”
