Nigerian music-stars, Tiwa Savage, Davido and Wizkid have been nominated for the 2021 NAACP Image Awards.
The NAACP Image Awards is an annual awards ceremony presented by the U.S.-based National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to honor outstanding performances in film, television, music, and literature. It was first presented on August 13, 1967 and was first nationally televised in 1994 on the Fox Network.
On Wednesday, the award’s organisers released the full list of nominees for its 2021 event, which has been billed for broadcast on March 2021 by 1am WAT.
Tiwa Savage was nominated in two categories. She bagged a nomination in the Oustanding International Song category for Temptation. The song is a single off her album, Celia which features British star, Sam Smith.
She was also nominated alongside Davido for Tanana, a track off his latest album, A Better Time.
Nigerian superstar, Wizkid bagged a nomination for his collaboration with Beyonce on Brown Skin Girl.
