Nigerian music star, Tiwa Savage, has issued an apology to South Africans for pulling out of the lineup for the 2019 DSTV Delicious International Food and Music Festival, in solidarity for the outcry against xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa.

“I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this,” she said at the time.

When was asked whether she would do away with Twitter or Tik-Tok, she answered; “Tik-Tok or Twitter? I’ll say Twitter.

“Because they’re mean on Twitter. It really is, I mean Tik-Tok is for fun. I get to do great and fun stuff on Tik-Tok with my son. It’s enjoyable. But Twitter is like, that place is hot, awful.”
