‘Tinder Swindler’ Simon Leviev Sued By the Real Leviev family

Alleged Tinder Swindler, Simon Leviev is being sued for millions of dollars by the real Leviev diamond family he pretended to be a part of.

In court documents, Israeli Russian diamond mogul Lev Leviev and his family filed the lawsuit against Simon Hayut. popularly known as Simon Leviev. The lawsuit is for allegedly impersonating the family and unjustly enriching himself using their surname.

The lawsuit claims that, “for a long time, Simon Hayut has been making false representations as being the son of Lev Leviev. He has been receiving numerous benefits (including material ones).” (sic)

The Levievs claim that Hayut has been ” cunningly using false words, claiming to be a member of the Leviev Family. Saying that his family will pay and bear the costs of his benefits.”(sic)

Simon is the subject of a Netflix documentary, which claims that Hayut changed his name. He claimed on the dating app Tinder to be the son of the diamond mogul.

Using this false identity, he defrauded women and persuaded them to loan him money. Hayut swindled as much as $10 million from people all around the world.

Although he was convicted of fraud, theft, forgery and sentenced to 15 months in prison. In December 2019, he was released early only five months later.
