Nigerian hip-hop artiste Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, boldly declares the non-existence of true love in Lagos.
During an interview with podcaster Fay Fay, the rapper shared his experiences in different Nigerian states.
According to Blaqbonez, he has encountered genuine love in states like Nasarawa, Adamawa, and Akwa Ibom.
However, he firmly believes that true love is absent in Lagos, expressing, “I have seen true love in other states like Nasarawa, Adamawa…a bit in Akwa Ibom, but never in Lagos.”
In another instance, Blaqbonez grabbed headlines with his unconventional view on marriage during an appearance on the Nancy Isime Show.
He revealed his preference for a marital arrangement where he and his wife would have separate rooms.
“I will marry, but I will be in like a different kind of marriage. It’s a different type… First, in marriage, I don’t want to be in the same room with my wife,” he explained.
When questioned about his reasons, Blaqbonez highlighted his fondness for aesthetics and the need for personal space.
Additionally, he hinted at his inclination towards polygamy, implying that separate rooms would enable him to pursue his interests with discretion.
