The house that was “home” to Blanche, Dorothy, Rose and Sophia in the hit TV series Golden Girls is now on the market for about $3 million.
The Wall Street Journal reports the house that served as the “exterior” for the Miami-set show is actually located in the ritzy Brentwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles.
The house, right down to its blueprints; also served as an inspiration for a full-sized replica of the structure. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has the replica in Orlando, Florida, after the show.
Golden Girls ran from 1985 to 1992 and was a massive success.

The structure was built in 1955 by lawyer David Noble Barry III and his wife, Margaret Carr Barry. The iconic house has become a tourist attraction for Golden Girls fans eager to snap a photo of it. According to the listing, it boasts four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows.
“Natural colours and textures create a tranquil atmosphere and sliding shoji screens and built-in cabinetry subtly define space,” the listing reads. “Pristine original oak floors and the original turquoise, avocado and yellow kitchen are among the beautifully enduring period details.”
The Golden Girls house is on the market with an asking price of $2,999,000.
