In the post, 6ix9ine jokingly asked his fans if they thought he “was finished” following his ordeals with the US authorities.

“I am back. Link in my bio. Everyone go watch right now. Repost it on your page. Hold up, wait a minute, you thought I was finished. Repost!!!,” he wrote on Instagram.

The less than-three minutes project sees the rapper reflecting on a range of issues including COVID-19 as well as his relationship with prosecutors in providing testimony about his fellow gang members. The colorful video features the rapper in full 6ix9ine glory, dyed hair hanging low, with a video vixen for every color of the rainbow.

6ix9ine’s jail sentence

Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested in November 2018 alongside other alleged members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The rapper was looking at about 37 years in prison. So he pled guilty to nine charges, including racketeering, and informed on his associates.

He testified as a witness during the trials of Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack; before his two-year sentence in December last year. It includes five years of supervised release, 300 hours of community service, and a #35,000 fine. The rapper had written a letter to the presiding judge. “I now know that I am remorseful for what happened because I was blessed with the gift of an opportunity that most people dream of.

“But I squandered it by getting involved with the wrong people, and misrepresenting myself; when I should have been true to myself and my fans.”

On April 2, 6ix9ine was freed by Paul Engelmayer, a U.S. district judge. It was as a result of concerns that the rapper, who has asthma; could be at risk of the coronavirus pandemic while in prison.

He had consequently been placed under house-arrest. Engelmayer would further relax his home-confinement requirements on April 29. This is to allow him make music at designated hours as approved by his probation department officer.
