American singer, Tamar Braxton, has accused her Nigerian boyfriend, David Adefeso of domestic violence.
This is coming after Adefeso filed for a domestic violence restraining order against the 43-year-old singer on Tuesday over a heated alteration.
In response, Braxton claimed her boyfriend was the aggressor, adding that he threatened to kill her in a ‘murder-suicide.’
According to The Blast, the fight between the estranged couple started while they were on their way to check the actress into a mental health facility. Braxton had questioned Adefeso about an Instagram post he uploaded with her 7-year-old son, Logan Herbert.
In the video Adefeso was at the beach with his mom and Tamar‘s son.
He added the caption: ‘A day at the beach. Sometimes mom needs a day off to herself to do whatever moms do whenever they have a day off to themselves! So me, Beans and Bonus Grandma aka Sonic-Mom hit Zuma Beach to have some fun.’
While reacting to the video, Braxton stated that her boyfriend was “around for the wrong reasons and could not be trusted,” leading to a violent argument.
Braxton stated that Adefeso became “irate, threatening not only her life but his own,” adding that they’d end up in a “murder-suicide.” She stated that she held onto him after he “grabbed her hard” on the arms, causing bruising.
On July 16, Braxton, was found unresponsive found unresponsive in her room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in downtown Los Angeles by Adefeso. She broke her silence after the incident on July 30, explaining on Instagram that she attempted suicide after suffering “pain” for the past 11 years while working in the entertainment industry. She praised her boyfriend for getting her quick medical attention at the time.
