British grime rapper Stormzy already has big plans for 2020. Stormzy announced via his twitter timeline that his world tour for “Heavy Is The Head” will be starting in February 2020.
Come 2020, Stormzy will embark on a huge run of dates spanning North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa. The rapper will round off his tour with dates in his homeland of Ghana and in Lagos, Nigeria, in October.
The “Heavy Is The Head” album will feature Aitch, Burna Boy, Ed Sheeran, Headie One, H.E.R., Tiana Major9, and YEBBA with production from Fred Gibson, Fraser T Smith, T-Minus, and many others.
It’s Stormzy’s most creative and largest project to date, with four of the sixteen tracks already released.
Last week, Stormzy dropped “Own It,” his collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy. “Own It” is the latest ‘Heavy Is the Head’ single. This followed the release of “Vossi Bop,” “Wiley Flow,” and “Crown.”
This week, he also went a bit political as he encouraged British fans to vote, prompting a spike in voter registration.
Months ahead of the tour, Stormzy is dropping his new album “Heavy Is the Head” on the 13th of December.
