Nigerian Musician, Innocent Idibia better known 2baba has promised to keep the family of late singer, Sound Sultan safe.
As earlier reported by eelive.ng, Sound Sultan died at age 44 after a battle Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma.
The deceased who was buried in New Jersey, United States, is survived by his wife, three children and siblings.
Taking to his Instagram page to mourn the late singer’s death, 2baba said he will never stop celebrating the late singer.
He wrote, “Couldn’t bring myself to do this but what can we do. Rest well. Till we meet again my dear friend and brother.
“Still so unreal. Will never stop celebrating u. I promise u your fam will be safe and good. #GRATEFUL for u and the blessings that u represented in my life.”
Sound Sultan’s career in show business started in the 1990s, when he hosted shows to raise money for studio sessions.
By 1999, he had won numerous local talent-hunt shows. He released his first single “Jagbajantis” in 2000, which was a hit in Nigeria. After independently releasing other singles and featuring in hit songs of other artists, he then signed for Kennis Music.
Under Kennis Music, Sound Sultan released four albums. By 2007, his contract with the label expired and he partnered with Baba Dee to start Naija Ninjas.
Under Naija Ninjas, he released Back From The Future (2010) and signed artists such as Karma Da Rapper, Young GreyC, Shawn and Blacka.
In 2012, Sound Sultan became a UN Ambassador for Peace for his exemplary lifestyle and career.
