Singer Dare Fasasi also known as Baba Dee has debunked reports that his younger brother Sound Sultan has throat cancer.
Eelive.ng, along with multiple media reports on Wednesday claimed the 44-year-old born Lanre Fasasi was undergoing chemotherapy in the US. This prompted fans all over Nigeria to send their prayers for the Mathematics singer.
But in a message to Qed.ng, Baba Dee said he was surprised to read stories that Sound Sultan was battling cancer especially from media outfits that could have reached out for confirmation. However, Baba Dee confirmed that his brother’s sickness.
“He is sick and he is getting better in New York. But throat cancer. Na lie,” Baba Dee said. He did not state what illness Sound Sultan was recovering from.
Sound Sultan himself has not publicly commented on the matter.
