Showmax names Dami Elebe as head writer for ‘Flawsome’ season 2

Popular streaming giant, Showmax, has name screenwriter, Dami Elebe, as the head writer for the second season of ‘Flawsome’.

This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by Showmax.

Showmax said Elebe’s emergence will give fans more to look for in the upcoming series.

“Award-winning Nigerian screenwriter Dami Elebe is the head writer for the highly anticipated second season of Showmax’s popular series Flawsome,” the statement reads.

“Elebe’s announcement as head writer for the Showmax Original gives fans of the series, even more, to look forward to in the upcoming season.

“Elebe’s uncanny ability to breathe life into characters and craft captivating stories has made her a household name in the Nigerian entertainment scene and among lovers of Nollywood.

“She’s expected to bring this skill to the new season of the show, which has garnered a loyal fan base since it made its debut in 2022.”

In 2021, Dami Elebe kicked against the cancellation of popular web series ‘The Men’s Club‘ because one actor left ‘unannounced’.

According to her, they decided to replace Ayolola with BBNaija’s Pere because the former left the Ayolola relocated without informing them.

Parts of the statement read “But it isn’t our fault. It’s not our fault that the actor relocated – without telling us if I may add – and I don’t want the people – including me – who are working hard to give an amazing show be made to feel bad by the fans we absolutely love and are doing our best for.

“To those who asked us to cancel… I’m sorry. We can’t do that. Not for one person. There are too many people working on this show for that to happen. I think that is an unfair request. Maybe I should blame me for creating a great character.
