American actor, Shia LaBeouf has denied abusing English music star, FKA Twigs, whom he dated.
As reported on eelive.ng, FKA Twigs sued her ex-boyfriend for alleged abuse during their relationship.
Born Tahliah Barnett, the 32-year-old singer filed a lawsuit, in which she accused the Transformers star, of a “torrent of abuse”.
In the lawsuit, FKA Twigs claimed he choked her, slammed her head against a car, and pulled out a gun while driving.
FKA Twigs also claimed that LaBeouf threatened to crash a car unless she professed her love for him and that he knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease.
Responding to the LA Superior Court, LaBeouf’s lawyers denied the allegations.
They said LaBeouf did not cause harm to the singer and asked for sexual battery allegations to be dismissed as “none of the acts alleged were based on sex and/or the conduct was not sexual.”
The 34-year-old’s team also said that his “alleged conduct was reasonably necessary for his self-defence and/or safety.”
They want the case to be thrown out entirely and for him to be compensated.
