Nigerian musician, Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, popularly known as Seyi Shay has welcomed a baby girl. The star welcomed her first child on Friday, April 22, 2022.
This was revealed by UK magazine Blanck magazine. Before giving birth, Shay had given insight on her pregnancy, music career, thoughts on industry feuds and the next chapter in her life in the magazine.
The new mom covered the magazine where she spoke about navigating the ups and downs of her career, to advancing towards self-acceptance and personal joy, as well as her journey to motherhood. She wrote,
“I’m grateful for how far I’ve come, and I know I’m still on a journey, so, if this is just the middle, I’m grateful for the journey and looking forward to the future. I’m happy that I’m still progressing. I am a grown and sexy woman with lots of experiences. I have embraced my vulnerabilities and I’m owning them.”
Shay also posted the cover page of the magazine on her instagram page, captioning it in part, “The Eagle has landed. What a journey its been!“
This is coming days after the star’s gender reveal/baby shower. Shay announced her pregnancy back in February with a newly released music video for her single “Big Girl.”
