COMEDIAN Lawrence Oluwaseyitan Aletile popularly known as Seyi Law has drawn the attention of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, to the state’s poor health sector.
In a video shared via his Instagram page, Seyi Law lamented how he lost his aunt due to the health condition in Ondo. He said the general hospital where his aunt was rushed to after fracturing her leg could not save her.
“This morning, my mum’s younger sister had an accident and they didn’t have the right equipment to take care of her at Igbokoda general hospital and in just a few minutes she has been pronounced dead just because she fractured her leg in the hospital. Please let’s do the right thing,” he said.
Although, this is an incident that has exposed the poor healthcare system in the state. And according to data by Research Gate, some demographic factors were negatively responsible for Ondo’s poor health system. The data showed that -distance, bad road networks, Cost of transportation, source of information, attitudes of health officials, amongst others were statistically significant factors.
