Champion tennis player, entrepreneur and mom of a cutey, Serena Williams is gilded in gold on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine’s August issue. The edition is themed “Serena unretouched and in her own words.”
For her cover feature, Serena talks about her controversial match at the US open and why she will never regret using her voice to speak out against injustice. She also opens up about being body shamed, paid unequally because of her sex, penalized in a game because she expressed her opinion or grunted too loudly as well as how uneasy her journey has been.
The pro athlete who had recently been fined 10,000 dollars for damaging Wimbledon court during practice before the event started, says she wishes to use her voice to help the next girl who is going to come along, who looks like her.
