During her performance, fans noticed that she was overwhelmed with emotions. This prompted speculation as to why she struggled throughout the performance.
A source revealed to E! News that moments before belting out hit songs “Lose You To Love Me” and “Look At Her Now”, Selena Gomez reportedly had anxiety and a panic attack backstage.
The source also said she had put a lot of pressure on herself. During the show, Gomez posted photos of herself getting ready for the AMAs. In the pictures, she revealed a new tattoo on her upper thigh.
