Selebobo Leaves Ubi Franklin’s MMMG, Launches Vault Records

Afro-pop artiste, Oku Udoka Chigozie better known as Selebobo has left behind his longtime label Made Men Music Group to start a new record label.

This is coming after MMMG boss, Ubi Franklin CEO posted a picture of himself, Selebobo and Selebobo’s manager on his Instagram page to wish his former artiste well.

In response, Selebobo wrote a heartwarming farewell message to his former boss via Instagram.

“Wow I can’t believe it’s five years already… Literally, time flies! I remember vividly like yesterday… me taking the next available flight from Enugu to Lagos on your call through jojo @beccajunaid (my personal person) to come and see you and Iyanya-a journey I will savour for the rest of my life and never regret.

“In this new chapters of our journeys through life I could only wish we leverage out ties and lend our supports to each other as we chart new paths on our ways to the very top. I assure you your efforts and inputs shall not be counted a waste.

“Nevertheless, big names are called naked, you deserve to be adorned with appellations; weldone Boss plentipotentiary Mr Ubi Franklin. I salute you sir @ubifranklintriplemg.”

Selebobo signed a five-year contract with Made Men Music Group in 2014. However, the contract legally lapsed in 2019 and both parties have departed on temporal terms.

Selebobo Announces Vault Records

Since then, the singer has taken to his social to announce his new record company called Vault Records. He wrote:

“Permit to officially announce @vault.records #2020 finna be lit #NonStop Music and Content for the Fans…”

However, Selebobo who is also a song writer, doubles as a music producer and sound engineer. Moreover, he has been recording new stellar music while playing audio engineer for the likes of Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tekno, Flavour, Phyno, Tiwa Savage as Mixx Monsta.

Selebobo came into the limelight in 2013 after producing several hit singles like Yoyo, Orobo Baby among others. Furthermore, it was his creative production of the hit single “Johnny” that brought Yemi Alade to the limelight. In addition, he also produced Flavour’s hit single Ada Ada and also the producer of Iyanya’s hit single Mr Oreo.
