After so many speculations about his sexuality and gender, Sam Smith has finally opened up about being non-binary.
Speaking with Jameela Jamil on her new interview series “I Weigh”, the singer discussed how they have always been free when it comes to talking about a person’s sexuality but not quite when the topics turns to gender.
Thanks to his style of music, we have always known Smith to be a deep sort of person and this was heavily reflected in his interview.
On being non- binary, he said: “You do not identify in a gender. You are just you…you are your own special creation. That is how I take it. I am not male or female. I think I float somewhere in between — somewhat on the spectrum.
I’ve always had a bit of a war in my body and my mind…I do think like a woman in my head at times.”
A few months ago, I sat down with @jameelajamil and spoke with her for her incredible @_iweigh movement. I know this sounds dramatic but this interview completely changed my life. Watch in full on my IGTV now (please be kind haha) xx pic.twitter.com/IMDLSUayso
