Nollywood actor, Sadiq Daba passed away yesterday.
As reported on eelive.ng, the thespian died after a long and excruciating battle with leukemia and prostate cancer.
Amongst those who disclosed Daba’s demise was filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, who shared a picture of himself with the deceased and captioned: “You will be missed ‘Uncle S’ You made your mark.Orun re 🙏🏾”
Below are however the things you should know about Daba:
•His acting career came to prominence in the late 1970s, after starring in Cockcrow at Dawn
•Daba made waves on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in the 1980s.
•He featured in several TV series and Kunle Afolayan’s films, including –October 1, and Citation.
• In 2015, he won Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as Inspector Waziri in Kunle Afolayan’s October 1.
• Daba announced his diagnosis of leukemia and prostate cancer in 2017.
• On 3 February 2018, Daba joined Project Pink Blue to walk against cancer to commemorate World Cancer Day
