Rihanna is starting off Pride Month with a bang. The business mogul’s Savage X Fenty lingerie brand launched its first-ever Pride collection on Tuesday; along with an accompanying ad campaign.
Every year in June, people around the world celebrate Pride and continue to fight towards equality for all in the LGBTQ+ community.
“Pride is all about appreciating your authentic self,” Rihanna, 33, said in a statement. “I am very excited about this collection and showing love and support to the LGBTQIA+ community; which includes so many of our customers, team members and fans.”
Just last September, Savage X Fenty — which is now worth more than $1 billion — announced an expansion into styles for men.
The brand’s star-studded Pride campaign features model couple Ahmad Kanu and Rahquise Bowen, artist Aya Brown, plus-size model and dancer Dexter Mayfield. It also features RuPaul’s Drag Race star Gigi Goode, transgender influencer Jaslene Whiterose; Fenty Skin model Jazzelle Zanaughtti, Rihanna’s personal hairstylist Yusef Williams and more.
Rihanna is also giving back to the community for Pride with purchases from the Savage X Fenty line supporting LGBTQ+ organizations; including GLAAD, the Audre Lorde Project, The Caribbean Equality Project, INC., Trans Latin@ Coalition, and the Trans Wellness Center.
And the clothing and campaign are just the start of Rihanna’s Pride Month celebrations; Savage X Fenty will also be hosting a virtual Pride party at the end of June.
