Global popstar, Rihanna has named Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ as her song of the year.
Rihanna recently revealed in an interview that she has had ‘Unavailable’ on repeat all year.
Davido’s ‘Unavailable,’ featuring Musa Keys, is one of the singles from his fourth studio album, ‘Timeless,’ which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
The year 2023 was a memorable one for Nigerian megastar Davido, who released his highly anticipated fourth album ‘Timeless’.
Rihanna also named Tyler ICU’s hit single ‘Mnike’ as one of her favourite songs of 2023 in the interview.
Rihanna is not alone in her love for Davido’s ‘Unavailable,’ as the song is a global fan favourite. The single topped the Turntable Top 100 and finished the year in the top ten of Spotify and Apple Music’s top Nigerian songs.
Internationally, ‘Unavailable’ was a smash hit. It prompted multiple remixes, including one with Jamaican Dancehall legend Sean Paul and American rapper Latto.
On February 5, 2024, ‘Unavailable’ will compete for the Grammy award for Best African Music Performance, with Davido hoping to win his first Grammy out of three nominations.
